The Ceramic Canvas Series explores the painterly potential of glaze as a primary expressive medium. Through techniques reminiscent of traditional painting—pouring, layering, and gestural application—I reinterpret the ceramic surface as a canvas for visual exploration. Each piece integrates nontraditional materials such as metals, mica, and kiln jewels to heighten depth, luminosity, and texture.

The series spans a range of subjects, from abstract compositions and expressive brushwork to interpretations of gardens and landscapes. By merging painterly techniques with the permanence of fired clay, the work investigates the fluid intersection between painting and ceramics, surface and form, spontaneity and control.
