Mountain Vessel Series
The Mountain Vessel Series draws inspiration from my formative years in Montana, where vast horizons and rugged landscapes shaped my sense of form and space. Each vessel—thrown and altered, ranging from two to thirty-two inches—embodies a dialogue between design and nature, structure and spontaneity.
Balancing function with aesthetic contemplation, the series evokes the quiet strength and serenity of the mountains themselves. These works were featured in Ceramics Monthly (February 2006), alongside the introduction of my Kiln Jewels process, which continues to inform my material exploration.
